What you'll be getting:
Sausage with Rice and Veggies

Per Serving:
5 oz Lonely Lane Country Sausage
135 g veggies (cabbage, onions, peppers, zucchini)

1/3 c jasmine rice (with salt, pepper and fines herbes)

Equipment needed: 1 large pan, large enough for all ingredients

Start heating up your pan on high heat. When hot, add the sausage. There is a lot of fat in the sausage, so I did not add extra oil for frying. Cook until it begins to brown.

Once the veggies are tender, you can add the rice. Stir around to evenly distribute the grains.

Once the sausage is cooked, add the veggies and place a lid on your pot. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring half way through. Be sure to put the lid back on the pot after stirring. You want the veggies to cook quickly and the steam will help them cook faster.

Add 3/4 c water per serving. Cover with the lid and reduce the heat to low-medium. Cook for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes. Turn the heat off of the burner and let the rice sit (covered) for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, check the rice. To give it more of a "saucy" consistency, add a little bit of water to rehydrate. From start to finish this dinner takes roughly 25 minutes. Enjoy!
